Latin for Children 2
Latin for Children 2
Curriculum
Latin for Children is an award-winning curriculum that introduces 4th-6th grade students to the Latin language, building grammar and vocabulary skills and exploring English derivatives. Originally published in 2001, Primer A was revised in 2017. The updated version, now printed in full color, has been enhanced with beautiful illustrations and with images and paintings of ancient Roman culture. An adventure story, "Along the Appian Way," has also been added.
In the Latin for Children classes, we will use chanting, singing, and games in addition to written work to help students learn the material in a lively, interactive way perfectly suited to the grammar stage.
The Latin for Children 2 class will work through the second half of Primer A, reviewing concepts covered in LFC1 and building knowledge of Latin grammar and vocabulary. Students will practice translation skills using the companion history reader. (The history reader is included in the supply fee).
