Geography with Texas History
Curriculum
Geography
In this engaging course, students will explore the diverse tapestry of our planet. Beyond memorizing maps and capitals, students will delve into the rich cultural heritage of nations, the impact of geography on historical events, and the intricate interplay between humans and their environment. Through a biblical lens, students will learn to appreciate the Creator’s handiwork and cultivate a holistic view of the world He made for us and how we live in it. In addition to the broad study of the world God created, students will have the opportunity to "home in" on our home with a nine-week intensive focusing on Texas history including, but not limited to, the geography of Texas, Native Americans, Texas explorers, Texas missions and battles, the Texas Republic, Texas and the Civil War, and Texas as we know and love it today.
