Leigh Ann Doughty

Mrs. Doughty is a native Houstonian and graduate of the University of Houston, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. The journey of motherhood put her on the road to teaching as she watched her son grow, participated in his activities, and volunteered to serve in various ways. While attending Second Baptist church, Leigh Ann served as youth choir room leader and Vacation Bible School teacher. This led to a long-term position on the design and implementation team for VBS. Leigh Ann taught preschool for eight years, focusing on early childhood development and fine motor skills. She and her husband, Doug, are members of Houston's First Baptist Church Sienna Campus where they serve as leaders in the 2:42 Life Bible Study class. Their son, Eric, is a youth leader in the First Kids program. Leigh Ann's goal is for students to have fun while learning and experiencing new things. Encouraging creativity and watching them explore is the best part of her day!
