Grade 6

Cottage School Classes for students in grades 4-6 help parents provide a strong foundation for upper school studies, offering variety, structure, and accountability to homeschooling families. 

Choose individual classes, one full day, or two full days.

Class Descriptions

Tuesday

• Grade 6 Core: TGC Elementary
• Science & Engineering 6
• Art Toolbox

Thursday

• Math 6
• Language Arts 6
• Texas History / Geography

Collaboration

• In Grades 4-6, parents take on the role of Supervisor:
  • Using the homework assignments provided by the Campus Teachers to guide students in completing at-home assignments.
  • Monitoring student’s academic progress including the timely completion and submission of all assignments.
  • Helping student develop habits of completion and excellence.
  • Communicating with Campus-Teacher regarding student absence and completion of missed assignments.

Schedule

• The Elementary Grade 6 Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Prerequisites

• Students who are eleven years of age by September 1 may enroll in one or more of the Grade 6 Classes.
